Welcome to House Sandlweber
The Sandlweber was built at the beginning of the 14th century and already had the so-called "Maria-Theresia" concession. In 1850, the inn was also awarded the license to shop, shoemaker and tailor, making it a very important house in the Obersdorf district of Bad Mitterndorf.
In 2011 the inn was rebuilt after a major fire by the landlords Elfriede and Siegfried Kalas and reopened in December 2012.
You currently have the opportunity to rent three very nice 2-room apartments and a big size 3 -room apartment in Haus Sandlweber. If you need more sleeping options, two additional single rooms and one double room are available.
All accommodations are equipped with a bathroom with a sink, shower and toilet. In addition, there is at least one flat screen TV in every accommodation. In each of the apartments there is also a well-equipped kitchenette and a balcony with a very nice view.
Unlimited WiFi is available throughout the house and can be used free of charge.
In the entrance area of the Sandlweber house you will find a ski room with a ski boot dryer. A communal infrared cabin and a communal shower in the basement of the house can be used by guests at no extra charge.
On request from the former landlords still living there, the restaurant room can be used as a common room for games etc.
Because of the ideal location, all attractions in the region can be reached quickly and easily:
In Summer you can swim in Ödensee approx. 7 km away or in Altausseersee and Grundlsee approx. 25 km away, as well as in Alpenbad in Bad Mitterndorf approx. 4 km away. The beautiful R19 cycle path leads directly past the house, as well as several hiking trails such as the Obersdorfer Rundweg etc. Other highlights such as a boat rental at the Salza reservoir, riding opportunities, paragliding, climbing etc. invite you to a great summer vacation.
In Winter, the 180 km long cross-country skiing network passes in the immediate vicinity. You can reach the Tauplitzalm alpine family ski area, approx. 10 km away, by car or with the free ski shuttle bus, which picks you up and brings you back almost directly in front of the house. Other highlights in winter such as snowshoeing, tobogganing, horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice skating or winter hikes offer you the perfect winter holiday.
